I’m getting abit concerned now and don’t know wether I should take him to see a health visitor.

He’s 7.5m and he’s not sitting himself as yet unsupported & doesn’t have any teeth.

My first one was sitting at 4m & had 4teeth by 5.5m... I understand not all children are the same but is this normal?

Is there by a certain time if they don’t develop what they should I should have been checked out.

Tia x

DD1 did get her first tooth until 18 months! Or sit by herself until 9 months! DD2 is 9 months and doesn’t have any teeth either, don’t worry Smile

DD1, no teeth till 16 months, sitting at 9 months, children are all different.

My boy is 7.5 months old too and he still can’t sit unaided either, I prop cushions and sit him in between my legs with just my legs holding his side legs and he still falls back lol his teeth have finally came out slightly but he started to show signs off teething really early like a few weeks old and that’s them finally coming through! So not too worry :) x

Thank you for the replies ladies.

Alanares89 yes so my Lo was showing early signs of teething too & until now but no teeth as yet. Even tried bickiepegs but he just throws them on the floor Shock guess I’ll just let them come when they are ready

Teeth don't mean anything.

When you say that he can't sit, do you mean that he lacks the muscle tone to stay straight upright if you put him in a sitting position? I would see a GP about that.

If it's a case of just falling over or not being able to get himself from lying down to sitting, then that's absolutely normal.

jojo so he can sit against the sofa or on the floor with my legs supporting the side and even a few seconds on his own, then he tends to fall backwards or forwards.

Tbh, if it's just a case of dodgy balance, I wouldn't worry at all at this age but you might as well speak to an HV to put your mind at ease.

Haven’t had a chance to come back and update on here but on the 6th July I could see his teeth & they cut the gums about a day later. Also he started sitting around the same time too. Thank you ladies for all the advice xx
