Behaviour boy 2 and half years old

I've got a little boy who's 2 and half, for the last couple of months his behaviour is getting worse. Hes smacking things around him including myself, hes stamping his feet, screaming at me.
The smallest things trigger his behaviour, there is no talking to him when he starts I kinda have to let him come out of it.. is there any tips with this as its really starting to get me down
