Early puberty?

My daughter turned 7 in Jan. She came to me today worried that her armpits 'smell' sure enough she had b.o. She's also had quite a few spots on her face on and off for a couple of months and has a few hairs down below. Is this normal? She seems so young for puberty!

7 seems awfully young to be starting puberty - maybe see your GP for some tests to check her bloods, particularly hormone levels and maybe pituitary (sp) gland

I would go see your GP. They will check her hormone levels and probably do an MRI scan to exclude a brain tumor (don't panic, they are hardly ever the reason!). Does precocious puberty run in your husband's family?
