Can anyone tell me what an infant stools are supposed to look like if they are soley fed on Aptamil formula- My baby is 5 weeks old and I was wondering if his stools are normal or if the formula is not agreeing with him.

I have heard people mention that they are slightly greenish when ff babes but not entirely sure? Is he in any discomfort otherwise?

I don't pretend to be an expert but HV said DD's looked like she was breastfed and she was on 100% Aptamil

if he's happy, healthy, alert, gaining weight and not in obvious discomfort, poo colour is pretty irrelevant tbh.

My little boy is on aptamil first (he's 10 weeks old), they were a toffee kind of colour and sticky but this week I have switched to Aptamil first easy to digest stuff and they are now a dark green colour and a bit runnier. Sorry of its TMI..

My dd is fed on Aptamil and has mustardy seedy poos like a breasfed baby- They smell like butterscotch-very weird! I changed her from SMA as it didnt seem to agree with her and her poo was dark green and very smelly so looks like change of milk has made a difference. She is more regular now too.

mustardy seedy - that describes it - although I can't say/remember if they smelt like butterscotch
