help with SEN assessment

good morning everyone
i am new here
i am a mum to a delightful 7yrs old ( year 2), that has fallen behind in her english
we would like for her to undergo a sen assessment
school claims underfunded and difficult to get the psy ed
so we have decided to go private
we found this practise
has anyone heard of them?

Hello. I have no direct experience of this practise but have seen them recommended though parenting classes.

My daughter has a EHCP and was assessed by a Educational psychologist as part of that process. Are the school putting extra help in place for your daughter. Are you concerned about anything else or is it just she’s fallen behind in English. It took me a long time to get school to recognise my daughter has SEN even with a NHS diagnosis. School now have a very good SEN team which has made the difference for us. The SEN funding for schools is not enough so only the most in need children will be seen by a Educational psychologist as the school have to pay.
