My DS has always been great letting other people or daddy, grandma grandad etc bath him, put him to bed, play with him, read books to him, until lately everything is 'Mummy do it' and if I can't do it as I'm washing up or having a shower he had a meltdown screaming 'Just Mummy Mummy do it!' We are not giving in to him every time he does this and deal with it by saying 'Mummy needs to go and have a shower so daddy is going to bath you' even if it does mean him crying and having a paddy about it.
My question is, is this quite common and normal at this age? I guess it's a shock as he's always been so good at letting other so things for him

Totally normal! Mine have both had phases of this, which (thankfully!) passed. Both have had daddy phases too. We just went with it, until they forgot about it and were happy with either of us again

Thanks so much for replying! It's good to know it's normal and others have been through it too.
It's draining but like you say we are just going with it and knowing that it will hopefully pass makes it easier!
