Stopping breastfeeding 1yo

Hi guys,
Currently trying to stop breastfeeding my 1 year old son. I also have a daughter who I breastfed until she was 6 months and naturally came to an end breastfeeding but my son seems so much more attached to feeding from me. I have got feeds down to just a night feed, during the night and in the morning. Having a 2 year old daughter I think I have been guilty of giving into him when he whines at me especially in bed in the mornings to just have an extra 20 mins peace. He doesn’t seem to be able to ‘chill’ E.g at the end of the day when he’s tired or first thing in the morning he’ll just kind of whinge and pull at me as he seems to want the comfort. Does anybody have any tips on other comforters I could try and introduce? I’ve even tried digging out an old dummy from a bottle pack when he was born but no good. TIA x

A dummy from when he was born is going to be too small. Try getting a new dummy that's made for his size.
