7 Month DD refusing solids

My 7 month DD is refusing solids and I don't know what to do. She just turns her head away and clamps her mouth shut whenever I try to feed her purées / baby porridge. She's not interested in finger foods either. She'll hold it but as soon as she puts it to her mouth and gets a taste for it that's it. She'll drop it and won't try it again. She loves chewing on cucumber but spits any bits out so I think that it's just because it's nice on her gums. She's exclusively BF and also refuses bottles. Has anyone else had a similar issue or has anyone got any tips? My other DD weaned at 5 months and loved everything we gave her.

Does she have an empty stomach when you try solids or has she just had a fed? Maybe it is a matter of texture and she would like something a bit more runny?
Have you tried a runny applesauce? Peel an apple, cut into tiny pieces in a small pot, cover with water and let simmer half covered for 20 min. Blend with the liquid and let it cool. Or a vegetable broth with some tiny bits blended in it? Some soups? Carrot pumpkin or tomato soups with a bit of parmesan?

Does she sit with you when you are having dinner and does she watch you eat? Any interest in your plate?

I've tried her when she's due a feed and when she's half fed, it doesn't seem to make any difference. We all sit together at the table and she watches us eat and seems really interested but then just won't eat anything. Even if I manage to get some food in her mouth she won't try anymore. I've got a Tommy Tippee Steamer Blender so I've done a few purées using that such as apple, sweet potato, carrot, cauliflower but she's just not interested in any of them. I've had the most luck with baby porridge but she won't even taste that anymore. She doesn't seem so disgusted at the more savoury things so I've been trying to stick to those. I'll have to try some veg broth or soup. Thanks for the tips.

In France (I am French), the first food is a soup in a bottle and we just cut a bigger hole in the tit with scissors. Then the soup becomes thicker and thicker until we move to spoon.

When we lived in Italy and my DD was born there, the paediatrician there told me to prepare a broth with a zucchini, carrot, potato and celery, let it simmer for an hour, filter the broth, put the veggies in a mixer and add a spoonful to the broth then to cook some baby pasta such as the small dots in the broth and to add some parmesan and the tiniest amount of oil. Or to use the broth to cook some veggies in it and then blend it all together.
A good guidance is never to prepare something you wouldn't eat yourself so make something pleasant to eat.

Have you tried plain Greek yoghurt? Some days my 7 month old will eat everything I give her (sorry) but other days she refuses absolutely everything- except she will always always have Greek yoghurt. I wonder if maybe it tastes a bit like milk, or she likes the cold, or a bit of both, but it’s the only thing I can rely on her eating. Might be worth a go.

I haven't tried Greek yoghurt, only my other DD's fromage frais and she borked so much I thought she was going to throw up 😂🙈. I'll definitely try it though, I'll try anything! Thanks.
