When did your bum shuffler learn to walk?

Just wondering. I didn't know at first but recently read an NHS leaflet that says bum shufflers generally learn to walk between 18 and 24 months old. DD is 1 and has been bum shuffling a but for about 2 months but only fast for the last 2 weeks using her arms to help. She's nowhere near walking as she can't cruise, can't crawl, only just learnt to pull herself up to standing. She does take some steps if you hold both her hands but she is super wobbly still and is still quite wobbly standing holding on to things despite being able to do this since she was 6.5 months old. The HV said it's just a case of waiting unless she has taken a single independent step by 18 months then to see the GP for a physio/orthopaedics referral. I'm not worried atm but just wondering about other peoples experiences.

I had a shuffler and a knee hopper. Both walked at 15 months ish. Its important to put toys just out of reach to encourage them to move/ stretch / reach. Frustration is the best driver of new skills in babies 😊

There are so many variations of bum shuffling that I didn't realise before either. In my head bum shuffling meant sitting on your bottom and using your arms mostly to propel yourself forwards. But DD only started using her arms recently which helps her move quickly now but she usually lifts her right leg up so she's standing up on it but bent...if you get what I mean? Sort of like she's doing a sideways lunge. And moves like that with her bum and her right leg sort of stepping forwards each time and now with her hands out in front of her to pull herself along too. It's really funny to watch !

DS1 was a bum shuffler and walked a few days after his first birthday. DS3 also bum shuffled and didn't walk until 19 months but when he did he just got up and walked around the house like he had been doing it for months! DS2 crawled and walked at about 16 months.

bum shuffling DD took her first steps about 3 days after she was 18 mo (I'd just asked the GP to refer her!)

Mine was nearly 2 before she was reliably walking alone all the time. She was walking holding fingers for months before that, it was hell, I thought my spine was going to snap.

DD2 had a weird one knee one foot shuffle, no hands used, and walked about 16m.
She missed the crawling out completely.
