their first year of school (ie, reception)? How did you handle it? Do you think wrap around club is too exhausting on top of that, if you can possibly avoid it, or in your experience did it not make much difference?

How does your child find school? My DS struggled and his behaviour was worse at home, I think it is very tiring for them and such a big transition. Having very few demands at home after school definitely helped for us and early nights to bed, also found his behaviour was worse if he watched TV in the morning so we have not TV on school mornings now. DS found days when he was at out of school club harder, I think just because it's more tiring, but I couldn't avoid it with work. Things do get easier, my DS is in year 2 and things have been significantly easier for him this year.
