Hi. My boy is 8 months old and says 2-3 words, mama, baba. Is it normal. He strated to understand words like no , water, milk, dummy. Is it normal. What about your babies and how to encourage more talk

Your LO sounds normal / advanced. All kids develop at their own pace and 8 months is early to be talking so he's doing well & you've nothing to worry about.

As previous posters have said 2-3 clear words at 8m is very good.
To encourage talking it's a simple as you talking to your baby, just chat about what you are doing s you do it, you might feel a little odd at first but I found it really engaged my 2 girls.

They were both quite quick to pick up new words and even though I wouldn't say that they were that advanced in how many words they could say one thing that's always been commented on is how clear they were with their speech.
I like to think that's in part due to us talking to them like people, none of the silly baby chat using silly words or voices.
A dog is a dog, not a doggy and that kind of thing.
