DD who will be seven soon constantly picks her nose and eats it [bleugh]

I've tried shouting everytime she does it even hand smaking but nothing is helping. I tell her its disgusting and will make her poorly but she just carries on.

My son does it too and its gross, but i read in a magazine that it will actually boost your immune systenm as you are ingesting the germs that are trapped in the goo....a little muck being a good thing and all that.

So maybe all the little children have it right and us adults are just reacting to parental conditioning.

I don't think i'm going to start it though

terramum · 15/07/2007 12:32

TBH I would avoid calling it disgusting...but then I don't think it is tbh ...have you tried suggesting that she does it in private as some people don't like it? That way everyone wins - she can carry on & you/anyone else won't have to see it!
