Decent school socks for OCD!

DS8 obsessively pulls socks up every 3 seconds. Walking to school, he keeps stopping to pull them up so it takes us ages. I bought some expensive knee-length socks off Amazon that do stay up, but the stay-up glue is peeling in the wash so they won't last..
Can anyone please recommend grey socks that stay put? They don't have to be knee length.
The ones that have great star ratings on Amazon - Bay 6- slip down so no good for us.
I personally find Original Penguins ankle socks great (adults and kids) but they only come in crazy colours.

My son used to do that. I ended up buying grey/black trainer socks that don't really go with school trousers but they obviously don't fall down so there's less need to keep wanting to pull them up. Might be worth a try.

Thanks- think I might do that in the summer as he insists on wearing shorts now so the longer ones keep him a bit warmer.
