Waking earlier since going into a bed

Hi everyone, just wondering if someone can help me with this. DS (just turned 4!) has finally made the transition from cot to bed. Last Saturday night was the first night he slept in it, and while he's been going to sleep really easily, he has been waking earlier in the mornings since moving into the bed. He used to sleep from about 8.00pm - 7.30am, and now he's waking around 6.30am. Has anyone experienced this after moving their child into a new bed? I'm just wondering whether he's still 'settling in' and will get back to his old routine soon, or whether it's happening for another reason. I really hope he gets back to normal soon, as we're both getting very tired!!

He is a real mess today, dark rings under his eyes and no energy to do anything.. and he refuses to have a sleep during the day. Within 10 seconds of getting in the car the other day, he fell asleep, and he never does that... he must be SO tired. It's starting to get to me as well because I'm not getting enough sleep either. Thanks, any input appreciated.

Yep - mine's doing this too! Hope that makes you feel better. I reckon when he was in the cot he used to amuse himself for a while before shouting for us to come in and now he just comes in to our room and wants to get up and start the day. not sure there's anything to be done I'm afraid. Go to bed earlier? (you, not him)
Sorry can't be more helpful but I do know how you're feeling!

This is probably not at all helpful but dd, 23 months, is still in her cot and has also been waking earlier for the last couple of weeks. She usually wakes at 7.15 and has been up at 6.15 instead. So there may be something else going on as well as the cot to bed transition. If you work out what it might be, let me know? I'm knackered too. And dd is just like your describe your ds, very tired, can't enjoy herself properly at all.
