My little lad is in fact nearly 18 months. He only really says 'Da' and 'Hiya' I'm started to get a little worried? I feel I talk to him a lot and repeat things and narrate what I do but he doesn't ever repeat anything!
He knows what I'm saying, when I ask him to put his shoes on he does to get them.
He babbles all the time too!

I'm comparing with other mums from toddler groups etc and their little ones talk a lot!

Should I be concerned?

No don't worry!!! Don't compare to others, they're all different. He sounds a bright little lad as he understands what you say so his speech will soon follow. My son didn't say a word until 20 months but by the time he was 2 he was nattering away non stop. At 18 months he is still so young, please don't worry! We
