Hi I have a 9 month old lovely baby. I am just at a loss of what to do with him. He gets very bored quickly so I try to go out everyday but am fast running out of activities to do with him. I don't go to the mummy and baby groups because I have PND and the company always made me feel worse. So just wondering what other ppl do to keep baby entertained.

So sorry to hear that you have PND. Are there any PND support groups near to you?

Hi Izzy,

My son is a little younger, 7 and 1/2. We’re also out walking a lot, looking at trees and plants and dogs and talk about that. Sometimes we go to the playground, he has tried a swing a few times, and looking at the brightly colored things is always fun. Indoors we sing songs, Hakuna Matata is a favourite at the moment, read books, and I make lots of funny faces and noises. Lots. ;) Riding on my shoulders. Doing aeroplane on my shins (I lie down and lift my legs at a 90 degree angle). Watching ourselves in the mirror. Play peekaboo. Make sounds with kitchen stuff, like bang a spoon against a pot, just trying different sounds out.

Hmmm... Hope maybe one or two of those things works for you!

My baby is only 5.5 months but getting bored already... so I bought this book. Found it really useful. A lot of it is obvious stuff (but it was reassuring to know I'm doing it already) but there's also loads of good stuff.
