3 year old still putting everything in mouth

Hello, my son is 3 and he is still putting everything in his mouth from wires, toys, and everything in between.
I keep telling him not to as it's not safe but he keeps doing it.
Is this normal?
How do I get him to stop?

It is a bit unusual to still be doing this at 3. Does he attend Nursery or Preschool? Has he Key Worker said anything?

LOL my 3 yo still does at times. Randomly puts little things in her mouth and it scares me. But it's getting gradually reduced as she gets older, though I literally yell before she spits it out sometimes. I guess some kids are just like that and will grow out of it
