I have a daughter who is 2 years and 4 months and the last 3 months have been awful. She’s developed this habit where if you touch literally anything of hers it will be a meltdown with hyperventilating until you put it down. It’s extremely frustrating as she won’t let me play with her at all unless she asks you too which is only limited to colouring, blocks and running around. Other then that it’s hers and no one else’s, anyone else have this problem ?

How is she if you go to groups where she has to share like playgroups?

We live in a very rural area so her interaction is very limited with other children, when she does she’ll play around them but if they try to for example colour with her she’ll take the crayons from them and yell no!, I really don’t know what to do about this, I partly blame our secluded life for this

It's not something I've seen mentioned on the boards before if I'm honest, sorry as I know that doesn't help.

It might be worth doing the m-chat and maybe asking your HV to have a look at what's going on?

I wouldn’t put up with it tbh. She can’t play with everything at once and demand you don’t touch the toys. Yes they are “hers” but it’s time to learn to share! Try getting her to role play sharing and taking turns with her dolls or bears? Bear is drawing now while you play with the cars... etc?
