Speech delay of my son

Hi my son is 3 years and still he is not talking
He says colours animals abc 123 identify objects but it's just single word conversation not using 2 words even
I am tired of trying so many times
He is still not potty trained cuz of delay in speech
He does nail biting, picking nose, grinding theets, very stubborn whatever he wants he keeps on crying for it till I don't give..
showing to much of tantrums inside as well as outside
I don't know how to manage him?
He is so clingy keeps sticking to me all the time
I don't know how to deal with him

He is so choosy n picky too

I doubt he has autism but talked to hv n Gp who just referred him but waiting is for 6 months
Which is again a very long period

I m not sure what will happen till than

He is violent too

Can anybody help me guide me please

Speech delays are common around 2YR old, so at 3YR he does seem to be a bit behind if not putting two words together. However, infants which are just speech delayed will compensate by an increase use of gestures; so a lot of pointing to request and show you things, a lot of eye contact to try to "speak through his eyes", a lot of showing you things by bringing them to you, and other gestures like nodding their heads, clapping to seek praise, etc - is he doing well with gesturing?

Yes he is
He is good in playing with only cars n animals toys
He loves playing in bath for hours

Someone also told me about autism but I have gone through it but I am not sure about it

He is too much in screen he want to watch iPad everyday if I won't push him to play he keeps on watching it for whole day

Have you looked into makaton? the signing they do on mr tumble? my son had a speech delay and at just turned 3 only had single words - our speech therapist had introduced makaton as a way of helping him communicate - when he had no way of communicating he was quite angry as well.

Did your GP refer to speech therapy or paediatrician?

The delayed speech and violence may be a coincidence but together they could be a sign of Autism. Has he been referred for an assessment by a Paediatrician?

Yes he is referred to pediatrician around a month but didn't receive any letter from them also

I don't know what to do how to explain this to gp o or hv that how worried I am for him actually it's affecting my health also

Potty training is not a lost cause just because he doesn't talk. It takes more effort but with positive reinforcement it is possible. My son is similar to yours although he puts two words together. I potty trained him at 25m within 2 weeks, and got him to pat his groin if he needed a wee or pat his bum if he needed to poop. He actually really enjoyed being grown up and it gave him a lot more confidence in himself too.
So basically if you haven't tried, I would try.

If you are in the UK you might be able to self refer for Speech and Language Therapy but it's worth asking for hearing test too. Your GP or HV should be able to refer you to both of these services

If he is too much on the iPad then don't give him the iPad, do not use it in front of him, or only allow it at specific times. If he is pointing to request and show and using his gestures appropriately to communicate then it is probably just a speech delay.

with respect AladdinMum not gesturing is just part of a language delay and withholding the iPad is probably only going to lead to even more anger and frustration and I doubt a speech therapist would suggest that.

I only suggested to remove the iPad as the OP mentioned that the child was using it too much and would not do anything else - that does not sound either normal or healthy.

Language and gesturing are two completely different communicative tools, deficits in one does not mean deficits in the other, it's actually the reverse - if there is a speech or language delay then gesturing increases to compensate, if language is advanced then gesturing decreases as is not needed as much - that is the normal pattern in typically developing children. A language delay together with a gesturing delay in most cases means an underlying pervasive development disorder like autism, GDD or similar.
