Not sure I’m on the right topic but I’m not brave enough for aibu and even chat!
I took DS and his friend to a play centre yesterday. He’s just 10. There were a couple of boys there from school who are 2 years younger but known for causing trouble.
They were being a nuisance from the start. Chasing my boys,called them ‘dicks’ and ‘pussy’. These boys are 8!!
I kept telling my 2 to take no notice. After about an hour my DS said that one of these boys had said to him ‘your friend’s sitting by your mum sucking her tits’. WTF! My blood just boiled,I thought I’m not taking that from an 8 year old.
I calmly went over to the mum (the boys were having a drink next to her) and said ‘I know the boys have been playing together this afternoon and there’s been some silliness but it’s gone too far now.’ She said ‘yes I have been trying to keep an eye on them, they haven’t been swearing have they?’
I said ‘yes,there’s been a lot of swearing but one of them has just said something completely inappropriate about me which is not going to repeat’. The boy then starts protesting his innocence.
I just said ‘enoughs enough, it needs to stop, you’re supposed to be here to have fun’.
I walked off and the mum immediately left with them. Now I’m not one for confrontation so I’m not stressing over it. Mainly worried that these boys will target my DS after the holidays. I’ll tell DS to tell me or a teacher straight away and the school are pretty good on tackling this sort of thing.
Just looking for some reassurance really.
