Naughty 6 year old

Hi guys.

So I'll try and keep this as simple as possible but I have a 6 year old boy who is so naughty when it comes to bed time.

I was in a Domestic abusive relationship with his father but broke it off when he was 3. I've gone to the doctors as his behaviour was horrendous in school and at home and they blamed it on this. They also said he had anxiety.

Anyway 2 years on and hes improved so much! He only goes to school for 2 hours as hes still adapting and learning to control his anger.

But recently he is refusing to go to bed. He will kick off to the high heavens,and tonight he had kicked me and scratched me which he has never done, I warn him he will lose a toy etc but then he says he will kick off and mess up the room if I do.

I'm at my wits end and trying to hold in from crying in front of him.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Let him mess up his room; if he does, strip it so there's nothing to mess up

He probably needs some mental health services though

What is there to mess up in his room? He just needs a drawer of clothes and a couple of toys. That isn't going to make too much of a mess. So remove r everything else, give him his pj's and just tell him to go to bed. Tell him good night and that you love and then close the door and go downstairs. He can decide when he goes into bed but he can't come downstairs

Does he have a regular bedtime OP and do you have a routine like a bath and a story?
