Help! 7 month old constant screaming for attention!

My 7 month old DD screams all the time. Not crying, she is generally a happy little thing, but recently she had started screaming. She screams if she is hungry, tired, bored, wants attention, doesn't like her lunch etc. It's becoming a constant thing and it is grating on my nerves and driving us all crazy. I know this is a developmental thing and she had found her voice and that there is no way to stop her but i need reassurance that this is just a phase. Please tell me this is just a phase! If that's it now until she learns to speak I'm going to go crazy! Has anyone elses babies done this? Thanks.

totally typical, all babies will go through this stage at some point, for some it will more severe/longer than for others. At this stage they are learning what works and what doesn't in order to meet needs, they are incredibly perceptive - the best strategy, when possible, is to ignore her screams for attention. If she screams and you turn your head (regardless if you tell her to shhh or to not scream) she will reinforced with the fact that screaming is a very effective way to turn mummy's head towards her :)
