10 month old doesn't understand how to fall

My 10 month old is pulling herself up on furniture, walking around the furniture and even trying to take steps on her own. But the problem is she doesn't understand how to get back down or safely fall back down (ie on her knees or bum). She just goes rigid and falls straight back (and would bang her head if I didn't catch her). Any suggestions on how to help her/teach her? Thanks x

How about physically helping her down each time the way you want her to. with time she'll get that that's how she goes down and begin to do it herself.

Thanks @lovely36 that's a fab idea. Completely makes sense. I will try it. Thank you xx
