My 3 year old was dry at around 2.5 years and hardly had any accidents. However, for the past 4 or 5 weeks, she's had tons of "accidents". She will go days without doing one (usually when she's at nursery) but often the days that she's home, she has at least 3 accidents and I don't understand it! I wondered if she had an infection to start with, but since she goes days without an accident, I really don't think so. I've cut down on her apple juice as I suspected that it might make it worse, increased her water intake and she does drink a lot. Often there is just a small patch of wet (not a full-on wee) - like she's left it so long that there's a small leak. I've tried all sorts to get her out of this - coaxing, telling her off, taking her regularly to the loo - I feel I'm always saying "do you want a wee?". I really don't know what's wrong with her! Often the accidents are when she's watching TV or is involved in outside play so I wonder if she's just too tied up in what she's doing to be bothered to go.
Any pearls of wisdom very gratefully received as this is driving me crazy!!
Thanks
