18 month old habit

Hi,

So my DD has a habit of playing/fiddling with my chain bracelet (it's always secure on my wrist).

She does this both when getting to sleep and during the day when looking for comfort. She will not go to sleep without me sitting there with my hand/bracelet there for her to play with.

This is becoming a problem for me now, it's been a habit of hers for a while. I've tried different comfort toys/blankets but she will not take to any of them. I'm at my wits end!

Any suggestions would be appreciated xx

Go cold turkey and stop wearing it. She'll be unsettled for a night or two then will forget. My son 17 months got a habit of laying on my neck/face to fall asleep. At first I thought how cute! He wants to cuddle. Well 3 weeks in I began getting a weird lump on the side of my neck by my tonsil area. Every time he began to lay on it it began to hurt a lot! Unfortunately by then that's what he wanted to fall asleep. Until last week I said no more. My neck is in agony from the weight of his head. He tried and tried one night. I felt so bad but I said no as my neck was hurting. He eventually gave up. The next night he tried again and again I said no. And now he doesn't even try. Took about 3/4 days for him to give up the habit.

I'd stop wearing it too or if you have a partner, be out of the house for a few days at nap time and bedtime and make sure OH has the other comforter to hand Smile
