How much does your 1YO vomit?

Sorry I didn't know which section to post this in.
My DS is almost 1 and has such a sensitive gag reflex which is worse with every cold/illness/teething. He seems to vomit with every minor cough or sneeze and meal times he will gag and vomit. I through he would grow out of this by now but he hasn't. He had dropped from 50th centile to 25th and I've been advised to feed him up but it just seems impossible 😩

Has he got any other symptoms like swinging between constipation and loose stools, mucus in his poo or smelly trumps?

If you need to feed him up I’d try 3 portions of oily fish a week if you can and other goid fats like smooth nut butter, avocado Andy olive oil Smile

Thank you so much for replying. No issues with his nappies other than them becoming slightly smellier but that coincided with me switching from breast to formula.
I'm putting butter and cream on everything and trying to get good fats in him but he just doesn't seem interested! He gagged and vomited with his weetabix this morning, which was practically liquid with the amount of whole milk I put in.
I despair

My DS didn't gag or vomit but couldn't cope with lumps at all and refused to eat if anything was lumpy, even at 1. It turned out he had tongue tie. It might be worth having your DS checked. Have a read if the article and see if any of the symptoms are familiar Smile

Thank you that is very interesting
I think I may investigate whether he has a tongue tie! May I ask if your son had his snipped?

He didn't but I do regret that decision. We didn't discover the true until I was PG with DC2 and joined MN. He's had years of sleep problems and sleep therapy.
