What does everyone's 6 year olds weigh?

Helloooo! Just wondered how much everyone's 6 year old weighs? I keep being told my daughter is petite.. just interested!

Have you weighed and measured her and plotted it on the centile chart Mummy? That should give you a good indication of whether she is petite or not

Hi @JiltedJohnsJulie (fantastic name by the way!! ) thank you so much for that. I've popped a black dot on where she is, but I don't know what it means? Haha.. does this make any sense to you? Picture attached x

Unfortunately, it’s not very clear on my screen and I can’t only see the height dot and not the weight dot

Would you like to say what she weighs and measures?

Yes she is 112cm and weighs 3stone 3lb xx

Is she bang on 6 years or more like 6 and a half?

She is 6 and half xx

I think that puts on the 9th centile for weight and height which means that yes, she’s petite but beautifully in proportion

Whilst being on the 9th centile isn’t anything to worry about, it might be worth measuring her again in 2 or 3 months to check she’s growing.

Low iron can inhibit growth, so it might be worth checking that she is getting enough iron in her diet. This guide from the Caroline Walker Trust is good for that

from birth to 7 years my DD was on or just below the 9th, she was very petite at age 6 she was only 2.5 stone, but from age 7 OMG she grew up and up, at age 11 she is 7st and 5ft 7, weight is still below for her height but she is all in proportion
