Tyrant of a toddler

What do you all do to handle a disobedient toddler. It's little things but combined throughout the day they drive me insane!

For example, she's currently crying cause she wants chocolate for breakfast, obviously it's not going to happen, I'm ignoring her - it's fake tears anyway - but need to drop her at nursery and she's getting too big and strong to struggle her into the car. Any top tips?

I'd actually rather be at work.

I've tried reasoning with her. I've tried ignoring. What next?

It’s a bit of an olds book and it’s not in print but I think the book that will help you both is THe House of the Tiny Tearaways by Dr Tanya Byron.

The book is from a tv series she did where she managed to sort out every single child on the show.

Hopefully the book will do the same for you Smile

Also look at Janet Lansbury / hand in hand parenting blog.

Thanks wtf. I just can't believe how much she pushes my buttons. I'm seriously considering putting her in nursery another day just to escape the screaming at me and kicking me when trying to get her dressed / change nappy etc. No one at work treats m me like that!
