WWTD 3yo chews EVERYTHING

I’m at my wits end my (almost) 3 year old son chews everything constantly. His coat, his sleeve, toys, plastic cutlery, drink straws all his toys and cups are ruined from chewing and I have to watch him at playgroup in case he ruins their toys too. It’s getting worse and I can’t see any reason, all his teeth are through. He has a dummy but only at night. Does anyone have any insight or advice 🙏🙏

Your son might have an oral sensory issue - this explains it theinspiredtreehouse.com/sensory-processing-what-does-oral-sensory-mean/

One of these might save his clothes Smile

It does sounds a bit extreme for a 3YR old, it might be a sensory issue as a previous poster has mentioned. Is this a recent thing? or has he been chewing objects like this since birth?

Occupational therapy assessment might be useful. In the mean time a Chewigem necklace
