Completely normal. Babies won't concentrate on one activity at a time. It's best to let them explore toys/activities in their own way to learn (although it probably will not be the correct way at first). It's a struggle to get them to sit still and concentrate on activities for a long while, up until they're around 2ish really. They're just not really wired to do that, they like to explore on their own terms (as much as possible) to learn and make sense of things.

Hi at this age what kids his/her age love are just playing with random things. When my son was 5 mo this he really enjoys treasure basket. What that is is you take a basket or container, you fill it with things you're comfortable with your child playing and putting in his mouth. I did all sorts of different ones like "kitchen" one where I took a pot and filled out a spatula, wooden spoon, tea towel, apple, literally anything you can think of. It is great for their development, motor skills, concentration. Allow him/her to do what she likes with the object and interfere as little as possible since she will be concentrating even if it doesn't look that way to you. Anyway hope that helped. Xx
