How much should I feed my child

Hi all daddy here. My wife and I have a 3 month old bb and we had him weighed today 15lb 1oz. Now I’m not one to usually look into things online but we’re stumped on how much he should have per feed. Any advice will be great.

Breast or bottle fed? Feed what the baby wants tbh. How much is he taking just now?

This is still me I’ve just changed the name. He’s being bottled fed right now and is having 6oz every 3-4 hours at the moment. Mostly 4 hours though.

Sounds ok. Why do you think you need to change anything?

It really doesn’t matter how much he takes at each feed or how often he feeds. All babies should be fed when they give you the signs of hunger. Some babies will want bigger feeds and may feed less often. Some babies will want smaller bottles more often. Neither is wrong Smile

What is important though is that he gets 2.5 floz of formula per pound in weight until he’s 6 months. So at 15lb he should be having roughly 37.5 floz in 24 hours.

If he’s taking 6 floz, are you making up 7 floz? Ff should always have a little left in the bottle so that you know they’ve had enough to satisfy their hunger Smile
