Babies watching tv

My 4 month old is absolutely obsessed with the tv...
I didn't think much of it at first and then I started worrying that perhaps it wasn't a good idea for their brains. So of course I googled it and now I'm reeeeally paranoid. Problem is, he LOVES it, and sometimes it's the only way I can distract him to go to the loo and do things that need doing in the house as it is just the two of us and I'm single-parenting it. I try not to put him in front of anything other than cbeebies and sensory videos on YouTube, but I'm still worrying he shouldn't be watching anything at all. But then how will I get to the loo and wash/sterilise and make up bottles?!
Interested to know other mum's thoughts and their tv 'arrangement'...

Small bursts of TV is fine. As long as he’s not sat there for ages, then it’s fine. Both mine loved the Tv as babies. It was unavoidable for them. When DS was born I lived with my mum and my sisters who were around 4 and 8 at the time so the Tv was often on. When I had DD, it was often on DS. Don’t beat yourself up about it. It’s handy to distract whilst you get some jobs done. 😊
