Bedtime for 4.5 year old

Ds age 4.5 goes to bed at 7pm and has since being a baby. Only we are now having real troubles getting him off to bed when previously it was fairly easy. Does this mean the bedtime is now too early? Considering pushing it back by half an hour but not sure the right thing to do.

How is he in the morning? Is he waking naturally?

Yes he wakes naturally generally...

Ok if he’s waking naturally, he should be getting enough sleep. I’d tell him that now he’s grown so much you can let him stay up later. Hope it works for you OP Smile

Thanks JJJ. I tried a half hour later bedtime last night and he went down much better so hopefully this was the issue.
By the way, you always reply with lovely measured responses to everyone's questions are you just a nice longstanding Mumsnetter or a moderator? Smile

Oh no I’m not a moderator, I just spend way too much time on MN...BlushGrin

Glad the later bedtime seems to be working Smile
