Just needed some reassurance really my DD is about to turn two she ignores other children and adults she's not familiar with. She recites words from Peppa Pig however won't talk to us and if she does it's just gabble. Started to take her to stay and plays as she's mainly around adults all the time but she's happy playing on her own she is a very smart little girl . Should I be pushing her more as I'm quite relaxed and have a ...she will do in in her own time attitude. She feeds herself and her coordination is fantastic but a few people have mentioned it to me now so wanted to ask for advice thank you mummies x

If she’s not talking to you at almost two, I’d do this progress check from Talking Point and if you have any concerns, refer her to SLT. You can self refer in most areas Smile

Taking her to groups with other children is a good idea, but if you’re worried about her behaviour and people are commenting on it, I’d have a word with your HV and ask them to take a look at her. It might be worth doing the m-chat too Smile
