-3 degrees today. And the mitten wars continue. DD (16 months) refuses to keep her mittens on.
She’ll pull them off. I’ll stop the stroller, take my gloves off, put hers back on saying “no, don’t take your mittens off. It’s cold. Your mittens need to stay on. Look: I’m putting mine back on too”. Then not 30 seconds later, it’s a repeat. I try not to react in a way that would make it a game, but she’s still giggling like a maniac and wiggling her fingers squealing “no, no, no!” Like it’s the most fun thing on earth. I try to vary the intervals at which I stop to put the mitts back on, but that doesn’t take the fun out of it.
What am I doing wrong? How do you prevent your little one’s fingers from freezing? It’s only going to get colder... I need tips please!!!
