11 month old too clingy

DD2 (11 months) has been getting incresingly clingy with me since she has been able to crawl, but over the last week it has become too much.

I take her to post natal group and she won;t sit on the floor with other babies and play, she just keeps coming back to me, I leave the room for a minute, she follows me crying, I try to get tea ready, she clings to me and if I try to give DD1 a cuddle she cries and comes over too so as not to miss out.

I think the reason is because DD1 has been rough with her (very jealous), sometimes kicking or pushing her over and I think DD2 feels safe with me. But it's really getting to me, I'm getting frustrated with her and I don't want to. DD2 goes back to nursery in a couple of weeks so that might help, but any advice anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Not really encountered this before but I wanted to give you some support. Perhaps her new found independence is making her feel a little insecure and she justs wants constant reassurance that you are there for her. It sounds rather trying but I am sure it won't go on for long. Sounds like you need to address dd1's jealousy before it spoils their relationship. No great advice how but best of luck!
