Why doesn't dd request a cuddle?

apologies for being a little similar to separation anxiety thread
DD is 15 months and has never ever to my knowledge come to me for a cuddle. She does like my lap as a viewing platform for books and telly and she adores playing games with me that make her laugh e.g. peekaboo. Is it just her age? Will she suddenly demand cuddles when she's older?

ds2 is 16m and has only just started giving me a cuddle when i ask him, he never 'comes for a cuddle' of his own accord, although he does come to be picked up, comforted when he has hurt himself etc. i haven't thought this is unusual.

My ds is very undemonstartive and always has been. He is just too busy to sit on my knee cuddling me. The only time I get a cuddle is last thing before bed or when he has hurt himself!

DD on the other hand is all over me like a rash most of the time.

Guess some children need more physical contact than others!

my dd was and is not a very cuddly person.I remember enjoying a cuddle from her if she fell or something 'cos it was so rare.
Would trip her up just for a cuddle

Ds loves cuddling,just different folks

the best thing i learnt when dd was at that age was not to take it personally. she is now 2yo and very cuddly. 15mths are often too busy exploring your home tho she does sit in your lap and play games with you

Ds1, at 15 months old, wants eff all to do with me unless i had a train in my hand. At 2, he was all over me like ketchup.

Ds2, crawls around after me while I do neglectful things like answer the door, and prepare lunch, and wails "ohhhhhh mum mum mum. Ohhhh, mum mum mum!"

They are all so different.
