Should I not have told the girls they were out cod? DS didn't cry when I told him he was out. But he is possibly used to my harsh ways.

I also took DD to dancing and she clung on to me, so I left her with a friend and hopped it, 2 mins later I got a text saying she was dancing. So could I be Darcy Bussel or is that my friend?

WelshBoris · 17/06/2007 21:25

I took DD and DSD to a game fair and learnt about the history of rural Wales.

Therefore I am Moondog

WendyWeber · 17/06/2007 21:31

I spent the whole sodding day working on the sodding computer.

I did get dressed though, do I get points?

Blandmum · 17/06/2007 21:57

I am a proud beta. However today we went to the gym, and then went to a NT property, where we had a picnic. At the end of the day the kids went in the hot tub, wchich blows away any alpha-ness in a haze of Epsilon minus-ness

ishouldbeironing · 17/06/2007 22:07

I searched the WHOLE of Glasgow city centre until I found my tomboy DD a dress for the school prom - that was following a morning of horse riding - her not me
I sit in the car and brush up on my latin

MrsJohnCusack · 17/06/2007 22:41

david Wilkies?

are you going to encourage them to grow dodgy taches then

TheDuchessOfNorks · 17/06/2007 22:53

Friday - Sports day, entire family yelling from touchlines for several hours mostly in the rain.
Saturday - Summer Fete. Tried simulated surfing (like a rodeo machine but more precarious) and ran a stall for a couple of hours.
Sunday - riding this morning, football and arsing around the garden all afternoon.

And 4 & 5yo have read & done letters/sounds and all that.

Knackered.

Springadora · 17/06/2007 23:01

Do nightshirts count as PJs? My Saturday sounds like Issy's Sunday. Mega hangovers followed by frantic dash to swimming pool - only just remembered to get dressed as we left the house.

Wilbur · 18/06/2007 10:42

Dh got spectacularly, disgustingly drunk on Saturday night, so on Sunday I did a couple of hours of chirpy, martyred motherhood (playing on the slide, making cookies loudly) to show him the error of his revolting ways. So I am Julie Andrews and he is Oliver Reed.

Then I gave up and took the kids round to other hungover people's house and let them watch Mr. Bean in Russian for the rest of the afternoon.

choosyfloosy · 18/06/2007 10:48

on saturday we bought new ballet shoes for ds
he will be the jonathan cope of oxford, or pref carlos acosta

Tommy · 18/06/2007 11:16

I had a bit of a thing for David Wilkie [sigh]

I am not an alpha mummy at all - sent the DS to grandma's for the weekend and had a 40th birthday paty that went on til 2am

Enid · 18/06/2007 12:19

Left kdis at MILs and got horrifically drunk and danced like a looney at a party

spent sunday feeling like utter crap while dh did everything

I am the Sadie Frost of Dorset

CountessDracula · 18/06/2007 12:20

was it fun though?!

moo · 18/06/2007 12:23

Yes, definitely AlphaMum on Saturday: in the afternoon we went to Staircase House in Stockport which is a very hands-onsy museum and they dressed up and fiddled with things and we talked about history and whatnot. So I was Dr David Starkey. Slightly more feminine, maybe.

We did maths in the car on the way there. Carol Vorderman.

Sunday: went shopping while we were killing time waiting for the car windscreen to be replaced...tried to a be a bit AlphaMummyish by making ds2 read street signs but then just caved and went to TKMaxx and Debenhams and took them to BurgerKing for lunch. Kerry Katona.

Enid · 18/06/2007 12:24

erm sort of

yes it was

but I feel so embarrassed now that the fun is kind of cancelled out

actually the best bit was spending yesterday on the sofa watching greys anatomy while dh took the kids out

Tommy · 18/06/2007 13:12

Enid - were you at my party?!

i sat on david wilkies knee once and got a certificate

any alpha activites this weekend were cancelled out by food at family barbecues - mainly bbq flavoured pringles and birthday cake yum yum

Ripeberry · 18/06/2007 14:33

Had a strange weekend, my DH has got himself a new toy... a coach!
He's always wanted one of his own and he has a PSV liscense and we took it for a "spin" over the weekend to Weymouth where there was a transport show going on.
It is a restored Bristol Greyhound coach and my DDs loved sitting at the steering wheel and opening and closing the doors and asking for fares.
Quite a surreal week really as on the Friday my DH picked me and DD2 (2yrs) and took us to the local village pub, livened them up i can tell you, they must have thought there was a coach party coming for lunch!
AB

Springadora · 18/06/2007 14:34

What - he hands out certificates if you sit on his knee? How pervy!

madmarchhare · 18/06/2007 18:01

I took them to cinema (er Johnathon Ross's missus?)
I baked with them (Nigella Lawson)
We went to Medieval Day and played chess (just poncey mum generally)!

Kaz33 · 18/06/2007 19:51
