ds 2.5 telling his turtle man to DIE!

He has a teenage mutant hero turtle that he calls 'turtle man'. All morning he has been banging him on the walls really hard shouting DIE DIE DIE

I have no idea where he has picked it up but no doubt it was tv

Do i ignore it, or tell him not to say it?

I tried telling him its not a nice thing to say so stop but he shouted it more

Let him do it, it won't kill anyone!

Really though, I think making an issue will alert him to it and he will either feel uncomfortable about expressing himself or do it more to annoy you.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Tell him it's not very nice (as you already have), but don't make a big deal about it.
If he were chasing the cat around the house with a meat cleaver, that would be a different matter.
Imaginative play is good - even if there isn't always a happy ending for all the characters!

i think i have just realised where it has come from. Ive recently bought him a cartoon spiderman dvd as he is really into spiderman at the mo with all the hype about the new movie. its a PG so maybe it has killing in it

he might be re-enacting a scene in a barber's shop, and be shouting "dye, dye"?

You want to worry when the 3 yr old points his finger at the 2 yr old and shouts die.

They don't know what dying is. They think you fall over then get up again.
