DD has a hairy back.

Hi there, my 3 year old dd seems to have developped a hairy back .
She was born with black hairs on her back and forehead (?) but they changed into very blond and very fine hairs (the ones on her forehead disappeared completely.).
Now the hairs on her back (all over her back but more pronounced at the lower back and centre) are getting darker and longer.
It's strange because she is not hairy anywhere else (maybe a few on her thighs).
She's got dark hair and quite a lot of it.
Any one had a hairy toddler that had less hairs as a teen?
Or does it get worse? I'm really scared that she's gonna get bullied.
I need some reassurance please!!!
P.S: I'm quite a hairy person (although I'm blonde) so I guess she takes after me, my son isn't hairy at all (couldn't it have been the other way around?!!!).

Maybe it will go. Have you spoken to anyone about it? (Other than here that is?)

Sorry, no help, but sympathy!! My ds is quite a hairy wee lad, but he's just taking after his dad. I'm sure she'll grow out of it ?

Yes I have I've looked on the internet but there doesn't seem to be much there apart from worrying stuff.
I spoke to my sister yesterday who is quite dark herself and she has hairs at the back of her neck and lower back but she can't remember having some as a little girl (obviously you don't stare at your back when you're little).
She advised going to the doctor about it to ask for advice, I have thought about this but I really don't want to focus my little girl on it and give her a complex already, and plus I don't see what a doctor could do at this stage, and even if there is a treatment I wouldn't want her to take any drugs so early.
My husband gets cross with me for worrying and thinks that every little dark haired girl has that, but I know that's rubbish.
I really hope that she will get out of it but to be honest, it has gone worse since last year for example.
I might ask my mum to see if we had some when we were little (if that's the case, it's not bad at all now and my sister and I joke about it more than anything else, it didn't stop us having a beautiful life, get married get a job and have children. My god I make us sound like freaks!!).
Thank you for the advice above.

Ask in the teenage section as well if anyone has had experience of this when their kids were smaller.
