My almost 8 year old eats -
2 bits of toast or a bowl of cereal for breakfast + smoothie
Snack - 1 piece of fruit
Lunch - wrap/sandwich/pasta, biscuit, portion of fruit
Dinner - cooked meal varies from pasta dishes to meat, potato and veg. Smaller portion than us adults
Snack - ice lolly or ice cream usually

More than me!!

Breakfast - 4 wheatabix and some fruit

Snack - a biscuit, some ham and cheese or some fruit.

Lunch - a wrap, thin bagel with chicken or tuna, frube, fruit, popcorn or crisps.

Snack - breadsticks.

Dinner - small/ medium portion on a normal size dinner plate.

Before bed snack - milk.

My 7 year old eats pretty much the same but smaller portions so 2 wheatabix and a large toddler plate. They are both diabetic type 1 hence why they have all the snacks but that never stops them eating a full size meal! They can often be hungry in between too and will eat things like carrot/cucumber which is carb free!

Neither is overweight DS7 is quite tall for his age but DS9 (he's only just turned 9 a month ago) is average and is super skinny - I actually worry if he is too skinny sometimes but he is also very active plays a lot of football etc - he actually has a 6 pack so def not overweight 😂
