Is this normal?!

Hi! My LO is 6 months old. Hitting all milestones, generally a happy, healthy wee guy.
Recently though, I've been playing the classic "anticipation" game. Going "ahhhh" and then peekaboo or something. LO puts up with this for a while but then just seems to get TERRIFIED! His bottom lip curls, his eyes water and it's like he's just so upset and can't contain it. Is this normal?

yes he’s more likely annoyed, like wish my mummy would stop this silly game I’m bored of it and so he cries to get you to stop and get cuddles and kisses

Kids aren’t daft they know how to keep parents in check lol

Haha thank you!! That makes sense! I thought I had traumatised the wee dude! Phew!

Yup they can’t speak so all they have in their tool box is cry/laugh! He chose cry as “stop Mummy”, I thought it was a good game too until I was on the receiving end of that response. Don’t worry it gets easier when they talk - ish! But I really wouldn’t worry, he’s showing excellent communication skills!

My daughter did this when she was about 6 months so I stopped doing it.. she's 8 months now and laughs along 😂
