Childhood Tics

We have just visited our doctor regarding our son who has had ongoing tics (blinking, nose scrunching and now chin to chest) for the past year. We have been referred to see a more specialised doctor. I’m in the situation of feeling upset at what I see but not knowing how bad he is in the grand scheme of things.

Has anyone been in similar situation and seen tics go away, or should we be prepared for a few years or more of this ?

Yes, son had a tic, scrunching his nose. Had it for about a year and it went.

I had similar tics when I was a child. Scrunching up my nose still happens when I'm stressed but that's all. I was never taken to "see" anyone about it. In the bigger scheme of things...they're not biggies.
