5 month old possible hearing loss?

Hi, I have a 5 month old dd and I think she may not be able to hear properly.

She used to talk to herself non-stop! She'd babble and coo to herself, which in the last month or so has stopped completely.

When she's lying on her play mat or in her cot and I make a loud sound (either clap or say hello) out of her line of vision she won't turn to the sound or respond.

She does get quite a lot of wax build up in both her ears, do you think this could lead to hearing loss? She has responded to sound in the past.

I've made an appt with GP for tomorrow.
Are there any questions other than could I please get her hearing checked that I should be asking?

TIA
