Hi guys, I'm just wondering if my 15 month old is behind on her speech, she says things like hi and bye, mama and dada but shouldn't she be saying more by now??

I'm a first time mum so not sure if she's behind or not??

Does she understand simple things like and milk OP. Just for a bit of perspective, my DD was a very late talker and didn’t even say this much at 2 never mind 15 months Smile

There’s some information on Talking Point on Speech at this age. It might be worth doing the Progress Checker when she hits 18 months and getting her hearing checked and talking to your HV if she’s still not saying much Smile

Hey- my little one is 19 months and doesn’t say much at all, he has great understanding and his nursery aren’t concerned at the moment. He has always been far more interested in walking and running about- I’m sure it’ll come. They all do it at Their own pace x

My youngest is 29 months. At 26 months at her HV review she was only saying 4-5 words. The HV said not to worry as it is still within the normal range for her age.

About a week after the appointment her language exploded and now she won't stop talking!!!
