mumsnetters you were right and I was wrong!

A while ago I started a thread about my 4 year old son's development. One of the worries I had was about him not answering certain basic questions. If I asked him how old he was, he would never say(he was 4). Some of you suggested this was because he didn't like being 4. He's the youngest in his class at school so all his friends were turning 5. I really didn't believe this could be the reason.

My son had his 5th birthday recently. On the day, I asked him how old he was now. 'Five' came the answer loud and clear. He's been happy to say his age since then. He also told me he didn't like being 4 as all his school friends were older.

Just wanted to tell you
