Please help it's driving me crazy

So for the last few days my 4 year old keeps coughing like his clearing his throat constantly throughout the day. It's worse in the morning as soon as he wakes up.

He doesn't seem to notice he's doing it however he's driving everyone crazy with it because it's so constant.

Could this be just phase he's going through or something more?

OMG my ds did this for over a month and it was infuriating! It eventually stopped 😂

This is called a Tic, it can be a perfectly normal phase and lots of kids get them, the advice is to not draw attention to it as that can make them self conscious and it gets worse.

Make a note of when it began though as if it goes on for more than 6 months it might be a sign of something else.

We are going into his third week now. And he is still doing it. He seems to be doing it more in the mornings. I have contacted his school to keep an eye on him to see if he's doing it there or just at home
