Being ignored

I'm SO fed up of having to repeat myself. Generally my kids are good kids. But WHY do they just ignore what they are told the first 5 times until I've lost my temper and just end up screaming at them??? So tired if it. Any help greatly appreciated Confused

Stop repeating it. They know you will so they ignore you.

Ask once. Then just get on with whatever it is e.g. get ready to go out, and if they're not ready, they're to go as they are (be that shoeless or in pyjamas)?

See your point. But that wouldn't work when going to school really & have to be there in uniform & on time.... Had a bad morning this morning. Hence the post 🙄

Oh, it would.... You'd only have to do that once.

And what you're currently doing isn't working so..................

Haven't got any advice- just wanted to say you're not the only one. Even the dog ignores me til I shout! 🤬

Seen a youtube video about this. Search: how to get children to listen without yelling. The guy is a bit annoying, but talks sense. If I wasn't such a technophobe I'd post a link, sorry Confused
