My 5mth old sits with support as im sure all do but is it ok to let go of him and let him fall forward.He leans on his hands.Is this bad for his hips and back?
Its my dh who is concerned.Im sure it must be ok.

thats how they learn to crawl! They support themselves with their hands and prop themselves back up as they gain strenght, of course at first be careful as they sometimes go slap bang face down!
They are flexible though so do not worry too much about their hips, they will let you know if they do not like it!!!
