Hi all just looking for advice. My lo is 7 months and no teeth yet. Gums are really hard but have been for a while so that’s not new. He’s never been an amazing sleeper generally wakes 2-3 times a night (sometimes more but less often recently) however the past few nights we’ve put him to bed as usual (bath, bottle, story - down awake and then gets himself to sleep). He then sleeps for less than an hour and wakes crying. From then on it’s waking every hour or less crying. Last evening at 11 I gave calpol he then slept until 4 when I fed him and changed nappy and then woke at 5:30 crying again so more calpol and then he slept until 7:30.
I don’t like to keep giving calpol we don’t usually do it. I’m wondering if this is teething perhaps or if it might be a sleep thing - it’s hard to tell. I try to look in mouth to see but it’s impossible he keeps sticking his tongue out.
I also have some Ashton and parsons to try so might do that tomorrow.
What confuses me is that he naps fine during the day - 2 naps generally each more than an hour and the morning nap closer to 2 hours. So not sure why sleeping at night seems to now be an issue. I read teething pain can be more when lying down but surely this would impact on naps as well???
Any advice or thoughts would be great.
Thanks
